Dollar Expected to Surpass Rs. 300 Mark by Mid-2026

The Pakistani rupee may depreciate to Rs. 302 against the US dollar by June 2026, as predicted in a recent analysis by a leading brokerage firm.

In its latest survey on monetary policy expectations, Topline Securities also gathered insights on the future exchange rate trajectory. The findings indicate that respondents’ expectations have shifted, with 36% now anticipating that the rupee will surpass Rs. 290 per dollar by December 2025, compared to 26% in previous forecasts. In contrast, 64% of respondents said they expected the exchange rate to remain between Rs. 280 and Rs. 290.

The business predicts that by the end of 2025, the rupee would probably be trading between Rs. 288 and Rs. 292, with a possible range of Rs. 298 to Rs. 302 by the middle of 2026. Remarkably, Thursday’s closing price of the rupee versus the dollar was Rs. 282.67, indicating continued market instability.
